The Italian partner, CEIPES, presented the project aims and results to the ENS (Deaf National Institution) members on 12 October.

Deaf and hard of hearing people participated with the willing to know more about accessible tourism, sharing with CEIPES the love of travelling and the difficulties they encountered several times. Among these, there are lacks communication related to various kind of information, such as announcements of delays, transports information and lack of accessible touristic services. They confirmed the results emerged through the need analysis carried out by the consortium.

Besides that, participants were interested in the results of the project, especially in the FEELIT online community developed by CEIPES. You can take a look at the following link and start to create your account to keep in touch with travel agents and tourists.

Thanks to the event, CEIPES learned more about how to improve the communication with DHH (deaf and hard of hearing) people and how to improve the practical development of the project.

Now, it’s time to adapt these good practices to the following project activities and deliverables.
