The FEELIT project ended on the 27th of February 2025, after 3 years of work on accessible tourism. As the project reaches its conclusion, its impact will continue to resonate, shaping a more inclusive future for the tourism industry.

The project’s lifetime end was marked by the FEELIT Conference, held on January 14, 2025, in Brussels, and by national events carried out in every partner country. During this conferences, project partners shared the project results with specialists in accessible tourism, including needs analysis results, training videos with Italian, Romanian and Greek Sign Languages, voice over and captioning, as well as immersive Virtual Reality scenarios, 3D game and the online community. These outcomes were showcased to demonstrate how tourism operators can enhance their services for visitors who are deaf or hard of hearing, and to connect these two groups.

An important achievement of the FEELIT project was the development and finalization of the e-learning platform, which offers training courses specifically designed for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, aiming to empower them with skills and knowledge to actively participate in the tourism sector, contributing to increase their career opportunities.

To summarize, the FEELIT project has made substantial strides in promoting inclusive tourism, ensuring that the needs of deaf and hard-of-hearing travelers are recognized and addressed. As the project concludes, its resources and outcomes remain accessible to stakeholders and the public, serving as a foundation for ongoing efforts to make tourism more inclusive for all. In fact, on the “Results” section of the project website, it is possible to find the links to the resources and the material developed throughout the project lifetime.

Even if the project just ended, the project Facebook page will keep staying active. So, stay tuned!
